About the village

Located in the Valle de Pop, Castell de Castells is surrounded by mountains such as the Serrella, la Sierra de Alfaro and Xortá and is just a gentle 40 minute drive from the coast. Castells, a village with a population of 510, is located in the province of Alicante with its natural beauty and is certainly worth a visit. Agriculture is its main economic activity, especially almonds, olives and carob. The village is gradually being transformed in order to provide tourists with a range of services. The village is very attractive and surrounded with interesting rock formations, mountains and caves. Castell de Castells is a self sufficient village and boast two bakers, two small supermarkets, a butcher, farmacia, two bars and two restaurants. You will also find a gift shop, tabac, two banks and a doctor plus a museum and a ruined castle!!
